Primestone Partners, a New York-based management company with interests in corporate housing, software development and real estate finance advisory services, announced today that Edward Donohue has joined the Company as Chief Administrative Officer. The move comes just two weeks after the Company announced its acquisition of Zenya, a leading developer of guest and property management software for the short-term rental and hospitality sectors.
Donohue will report to Primestone’s CEO, Bruce Witherell, and oversee the Company’s finance, operations, marketing, and corporate functions. He steps into his new role during a period of rapid growth, as the Company looks to leverage its investments in the temporary housing and software development businesses to develop marketplace solutions that more efficiently connect the supply and demand sides of the corporate housing ecosystem.
Donohue had been a Senior Advisor to Primestone since September. He previously worked as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley for more than a decade, holding various senior positions including Chief Administrative Officer of Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A. and the Global Mortgage Lending business, and Chief Operating Officer of the Global Technology and Reengineering & Expense Management divisions. Earlier, he was a Managing Director at Lehman Brothers, where he served as Chief Audit Executive, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Aurora Loan Services, and Chief Administrative Officer of Global Technology & Operations. Mr. Donohue began his career as a CPA at Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG).
“As we position Primestone for the future, adding Ed to our leadership team enhances our ability to grow the business and execute our business strategy in a controlled manner,” said Bruce Witherell. “I have known Ed for over thirty years and am confident that his deep experience in finance, operations, risk management, strategic planning, and governance will prove invaluable as we embark on the exciting next phase of our growth.”
